| Philon can’t wait to start his first Breslau Rallye ever.
Philon, who took part twice in the superb Transylvania trophy in Rumania, has recently finished the tough Croatia trophy with his freshly upgraded Land Rover Defender TD5 Trayback, prepared by the Off Road Armory in England. Philon competes regularly at the UK’s toughest events and has opted for a 110” wheelbase on this build. Attention has been paid to most areas of the Land Rover, with modifications to the axles, gearbox, suspension and a new ORA custom T45 cage, tray and wings, plus the addition of an Ashcroft auto box and compushift with three link suspension all round to make better use of the Spidertrax axles. Amongst other modifications, suck down winches have been added to complement the existing front, middle and rear winches. Philon says: “We are really looking forward to competing at this famous event I’ve read so much about in the UK magazines. I have spoken to previous competitors who have told me stories of its brilliant atmosphere and fantastic mix of stages from the prologue to the Hannibal and sand and forest stages. I have the impression, that it’s a real test of endurance and character as the days and nights go on, a test that really stretches both the competitors and their support crews over hundreds of km! It’s an exciting programme which makes the Breslau a worth entering adventure. We look forward to it and we will give our best!”.
