BRESLAU POLAND 2013

Accreditation conditions:

In order to acquire the accreditation for the accompanying participation in the Rallye Breslau please consider the following requirements:

1. You own a valid press ID from:
* German Journalist Association (DJV);
* German journalist Union (DJU);
* Ver.di United Service Trade Union FB Medien;
* Federal Association of Newspaper Publishers (BDZV);
* Association of Journal Publishers (VDZ);
* International Federation of Journalists, Brussels (IFJ).

2. You are a journalist or photographer:
* who has a written assignment from an editor (original heading with address);
* who has an impressum in which he is present;

No accreditation will be issued to the following persons:

* without any press ID (marketing or advertising sales manager, accompanying persons);
* who have a press ID of associations or organisations that have not been recognised by the home secretary;
* who have an ID of broadcasting services, agencies or editors without any assignment;
* who only have a visiting card as identification;
* who have invitations from the exhibitors or other.

Rallye Breslau Int. Assn. reserves the right to accept or to refuse any request.

Press obligations:

•    to wear their press vest at all times outside the camp;
•    to follow any instructions issued to them by orga members on the race course;
•    to inform the organisation of any abandons by all possible means;
•    to return to the organiser all material or equipment supplied to the press crew on a temporary basis during the event;
•    to respect the safety regulations (speed in villages, at bivouacs, within limited zones, no parking on race itinerary, no u-turn on race itinerary);
•    not to venture in out of the bivouacs and onto the race areas when the race is on without being accompanied by an orga vehicle or by an orga member in their own vehicle;
•    to drive on the race course without being accompanied by a car of the organisation is strictly forbidden;
•    to take photographs or film you must park several metres from the track, where you will not obstruct the passage of the competitors;
•    press cars must respect the road Code and local regulations;
•    it is requested that accredited photographers supply the rally organisation with 50 different top quality images or 5 minutes of video of their choice for use by the organisers in the Breslau Press book/Adventure book and promo material of the Rallye Breslau (leaflets, posters, website, social media, etc);
•    Press event images and moving image clips for the event publicity purposes may be supplied by the organisers on a non exclusive basis at their discretion, provided due acknowledgement is given to the photographers / videographers / volunteers supplying such images;
•    to comply with the present regulations.

Failure to respect the regulations in any way by any accredited person, will automatically lead to his exclusion from the event. This could result in the exclusion of his crew (all of the occupants of a same vehicle)

Press vehicles

All press vehicle drivers must show the following documents to the scruteneers:
•    valid vehicle registration certificate
•    Green Card insurance certificate.


Technical regulations for press vehicles

The vehicles will be decorated with stickers of the rally colours during scrutineering. This will allow them to access bivouacs with their vehicle and be instantly recognised by the rally organisation.

Any press vehicle wanting to join the press convoy needs to be a standard 4x4 fitted with at least all terrain tyres.

Depending on the type of vehicle entered, a press car crew must be made up of a minimum of two people and a maximum of four people. Only four-door 4x4s will be allowed to transport 4 people. Press cards will be required for all occupants.

Each press vehicle must be presented at scrutineering with the following equipment:

If any items are missing, they will not be allowed to start.

•    Emergency numbers list sticker visible
•    1 pocket torch
•    1 survival blanket
•    1 emergency first aid kit
•    1L of water per person in the vehicle
•    1 seat belt cutter
•    1 hazard warning triangle
•    2 fluos waistcoats
•    GPS
•    approved hand operated 2 kg extinguishers
•    external rear view mirrors
•    2 tow hooks (1 at the front, 1 at the rear)
•    working air horn (powerful)
•    rear lighting system complying with the Supplementary Regulations for Cars
•    1 spare wheel
•    rear mud flaps
•    a 5m towing strap

A person having a press accreditation is not allowed to help in whatever manner a competitor of the race: transporting spare parts, giving fuel, helping out on with mechanical problems, etc. If such is the case, this person could be expelled from the rally and involve the forced withdrawal from the race of the concerned competitor.
